Patricia Ng started the first Christian Meditation group in Singapore in 1988. With her husband Peter, she founded and coordinated the activities of the Singapore Christian Meditation Community. In July 2003, she was diagnosed with advanced stage stomach cancer and underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In May 2004, while still under treatment, she started a meditation group at a local hospital for cancer patients, caregivers and healthcare workers. Patricia passed away on 14 February 2005.

Laurence Freeman is a Benedictine monk of the Olivetan Congregation and Director of The World Community of for Christian Meditation. He leads retreats and seminars and nurtures inter-faith friendship. He was caregiver to his teacher, John Main OSB, who died of cancer in 1982.

From Panic to Peace is available in DVD, PAL format. It was filmed in New York in August 2004.
