Lessons for the Living from the Dying

The reflections in this audio CD touch on life, death, suffering, meaning, healing, and wholeness from the experience and authority of a spiritual guide, a patient, and a medical practitioner.

Laurence Freeman speaks on life as a journey of transformation. He is a Benedictine monk and spiritual director of The World Community for Christian Meditation, and was also caregiver to his teacher, John Main, who died of cancer in 1982.

Patricia Ng speaks on her journey from panic to peace, sharing from the experience of a patient, a wife, a mother. Her reflections were recorded six months before Patricia passed away in 2005.

Dr Balfour Mount reflects on the path toward healing. He speaks from the experience of a medical practitioner and a surgical oncologist with extensive experience in palliative care.

The complete recording of Patricia’s reflections are available on a DVD From Panic To Peace which features her in conversation with Laurence Freeman and her husband Peter Ng who was her principal caregiver.
