JANE HOLE was born in England and received all her schooling at St Margaret’s College in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she now lives. She studied Italian in Perugia, taught English in Chongqing, Southwest China, and has had a lifelong career in teaching music. She is a past National Coordinator of the New Zealand Community for Christian Meditation, is a WCCM Benedictine oblate, and is presently a member of the NZCCM national council and coordinator of oblates, meditation in schools and meditation groups in the South Island of New Zealand.
She has published three books of memoir, each telling something of the vital role meditation and the community of meditators has played in her life. She is married with two children and four grandchildren.
