Yoga for the Practice of Christian Meditation

This little book presents a yogic illustration of how to ‘sit still and upright’ in meditation, as John Main taught. The yoga poses teach a process of cleansing and awakening that respects the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. They also prepare the body for the journey from mind to heart. The different poses described here engage the major systems in the body in the work of shifting control from the ego to the Spirit of the Risen Lord or the antaryamin (‘inner controller’).

This book is an excellent companion to the DVD by the same title.
